About SISYPHE

SISYPHE is an adventure game about a square that yearns to be a circle. Chip off pieces of the square at certain points along the journey, and climb a mountain in search of renewal. You'll walk and climb through seven visually distinct areas on your way up the mountain path.

DISCLAIMER: The players physics have been heavily changed. The player is much faster and jumps higher than shows here. If you're on the fence because of how slow it looks, don't worry.SISYPHE is mainly an interactive art piece. It's a beautiful, casual climbing game that prioritizes atmosphere and the journey. SISYPHE keeps a unique visual style that embodies the feel and soul of the square's voyage. Listen to a beautiful soundtrack by Pierre Scheuer (PeterBarn) and creator Lucas Ljunggren along the way. Explore a gorgeous world of climbing possibilites. No invisible walls, no restrictions, climb anywhere you can. Find large artifacts and statues along the way, a good place to take the atmosphere in and stare at the incredible landscapes. Explore SISYPHE, the beautiful, casual climbing game about the square.

A very enjoyable game with some great visuals and music. A lot less frustrating than other Getting over it-likes, while still being challenging in places. I did encounter a bug where I got stuck in level 3 and had to restart, but besides that I really enjoyed it.

SISYPHE is a cozy and relaxing game about a square navigating a rocky environment and how it changes with time. This game is like a mix of "Getting Over It" (but not that hard, there are some challenges, but the frustration is not comparable to Getting Over It) and Journey. Very minimalistic graphics, but in a good way. The atmosphere created in combination with the environment and the music is very relaxing :-) There were some minor bugs, but they weren't game-breaking, so they didn't interfere with my enjoyment of the game. Also be prepared for your spacebar to suffer in some parts of the map XD

SISYPHE is a calm and brief linear platformer, it has very nice music, enjoyable graphics, and tricky but conquerable gameplay. I did feel that the difficulty spiked in the second-to-last area, which was the only time I encountered a struggle in this game, but it's not terrible and I still made it to the end of the game shortly afterwards. I like the mechanic of your shape gradually changing throughout the game, it alters the gameplay and puts emphasis on the journey rather than the destination. I recommend this game to achievement hunters and seekers of unusual platformers.

Fun and relaxing game. The game has 7 levels which you have to go through, which feel like a real journey. I love the music too! Every level has its own music, which match perfectly with its environment. Although it has 7 levels it can be completed in about an hour. Unfortunately I couldn’t complete the last level. There’s still a couple bugs in it. I got stuck a couple of times while playing some levels. When I got to the last level my round ‘square’ started to jump very fast, that I couldn’t control it anymore. When I saved and logged in again, it was once again a square which can’t (or very difficult) complete the last level. But I am sure this is a bug that will be fixed. Definitely worth to check out especially when it is on sale!
