Skilltree with numerous spells of the Elemental Knights
You start as an unknown adventurer of either human, elf or dwarf origin. In your conflicts against dangerous monsters, you will earn experience to increase your power steadily. Through level ups you will earn Adventure Points, which can be used to enhance your skills and learn new spells.
Over 100 levels of challenging dungeons. Rogue-style!
Choose from several dungeons to challenge and master. Hidden within you will encounter deadly creatures, chests filled with treasure or fountains of healing. You may come across a shady but neutral goblin merchant, who will offer to sell you items and equipment on your journey. Fall to a dungeon's dangers and you will be forces to begin anew, but with the experience earned in your attempt. Only the most bravest and strongest will face and conquer the more difficult dungeon bosses, and lend immortality to their name in the hall of heroes!

In Skilltree Saga, you grind auto-battles in a couple different areas. Enemies drop loot/gold and give experience for you to get stronger between grinds. The "roguelike elements" aren't really present at all - if you die, you keep all your gold only losing the loot you picked up. You use experience to purchase/upgrade various skills, some of which were pretty interesting and useful. I've used the word grind a couple times now because that's the word that best describes this game - a highly repetitive grind. And it very quickly becomes a grind. For instance, when I got far enough in the first area the game prompted me saying I was now powerful enough to check out the second area. I was only able to get through the first couple enemies there, and had to go back to the first area and grind for quite a while. There are three areas: one with 30 levels, the next with 60, and the final with 100. You have to upgrade your character to where they can complete each of these in one run. One word: grind... and not the enjoyable kind.3 found this helpful
This suppose to be turn-planning dungeon crawler. In fact, this game is completely opposite what it claims to be. Your goal is to beat all dungeons and dungeon floor. Before every fight, you need to select order of abilities. The selection suppose to be based on enemy type. There is not much enemy types, so game gets quickly repetitive. In addition with lower number of dungeons (just three to be precise), game quickly turns into grinding simulator you spend hours in. You need to repeat fights countless time, until you get enough experience, reach decent stats and collect powerful equipment in order to successfuly beat the game. Not mentioning constant need of healing/mana potion usage. Game with broken system. Stay away! I don't recommend this game.2 found this helpful
A failed mobile game ported to PC, with all the microtransactions wiped (there's obvious remnants of mt's such as gems which you can now easily get through combat). Even without the mt's and premium currency given for free, the grind is real and tedious.
👍
I can't hate this game. It is not terrible, but very, very simple. Choose a hero, choose a line of action, and auto-battle, then loot and upgrade your stuff. That's all. Story? Save your gal or something. That's it, that's the whole game. Is it bad? No. Probably, it was a mobile game at some point. I actually quite enjoyed the simple time-waster gameplay. You can farm yourself to a point that you one-hit everybody, so the power fantasy is quite satisfying.
Skilltree Saga, developed and published by Silent Dreams, is a small-scale role-playing game that aims to combine traditional fantasy progression with roguelike repetition and skill-based character development. Set in the world of The Dark Eye, it borrows the atmosphere and terminology of its tabletop source material but channels them into a more casual, procedurally generated experience. It’s a game that trades narrative complexity for mechanical simplicity, focusing almost entirely on combat loops, incremental upgrades, and stat management. What results is a title that can be mildly engaging for players who enjoy grinding for better gear and optimizing numbers, though its limitations in interactivity and depth prevent it from standing out in a crowded genre. At its core, Skilltree Saga is built around a cycle of short, turn-based battles and incremental progression. You begin by choosing one of three races—human, elf, or dwarf—each with unique bonuses, and then delve into a series of randomly generated encounters that range from simple skirmishes to boss fights. The combat system strips down most traditional RPG complexity, letting you pre-select skills before combat begins rath…
