"Sky in your eyes" is not a game, it's an e-book that's been dumped on Steam masquerading as a game. As a visual/interactive novel, this doesn't feature any notable gameplay, it's just a lot of clicking through badly written dialogue that would never have been accepted or published in print, which poses the question, "How did something this badly written end up on Steam?". When someone hoping to become an author is unable to get published in print, they spend $100 and dump their high school fan-fiction onto Steam, under the guise of a game. This E-Book has been translated from Russian into English... badly. If this was done through Google Translate, Google Translate should feel ashamed of itself. Regardless, the language in this game is broken and will put off a lot of gamers. This Russian e-book is a square in the middle anime romance fanfic, the kind of stuff that gets you kicked out of the anime club as even the nerdiest of the weebs can't tolerate you. It was slapped together with an SDL2 based visual novel construction kit and the backgrounds and characters are all stock/generated with a character creator, so nothing here is the actual work of the Russian "author" apart…

Decent visuals, bad English translations and English Voice Acting. Though you can mute the voice acting. This isn't a visual novel, but a kinetic one where you are given choices which don't result in any different dialogue options or endings. The writing is bad and the characters don't have enough personality do differentiate them from one another. And what little personality they do have gets abandoned with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ending. The artist should have sold the CGs online instead of trying to make a half-assed kinetic novel which feel secondary to the art and animations that appear in random sequence without any coherent explanations. TLDR: Very short kinetic novel with bad writing. Not worth it unless you want the 7 effortless steam achievements.

A very sweet story with three main characters, unfortunately it is extremely short, which is honestly disappointing because the story is very good, I was really into it. Yet another game that ends too soon. Hopefully they release a sequel even though it's unlikely considering the plot

The artwork and music are nice, but everything else soured the experience. - The protagonist is a total doormat. - The choices are completely pointless as they only change a couple of lines and have no consequences. - The story is entirely linear and there's just one ending, even though the description says it takes 3-4 hours for "all endings". - The ending itself is just awful and ruins all that came before it. - The translation is readable but really subpar, with grammatical errors, bad word choices, awkward phrasing, and occasional typos and missing words. I already expected this one based on the store page's description, but it's still worth noting nonetheless. - There's no backlog, even though it's one of the most basic features of a visual novel. It's also missing other essential settings like text speed. - The store page mentions a "breast jiggle toggle", but there's no option like that I could find. It's not something I really needed, but if you're gonna put it on the store page, it'd better be there in the game.

Almost Cut/Paste from Summer with You by same creator: Can't recommend it. Technically speaking: No you don't have to use Ren'py when creating a Visual Novel but if you don't you have to do something at least as good. Here you can't go back if you've clicked too quickly, can't change the speed of the text,etc... Graphically speaking: Pretty generic. If it had been released two years later I would have thought that it was AI graphics. On the plus side the faces are animated (not very well but still). The voices: well not everybody is made to dub an anime character. There's got to be emotion in there. The dialogs: The translation could be better. And those dialogs ugh. Here's the beginning of a dialog: "You can hit your sisters but you have to do it gently." Or the obsession with one of the girls' breasts. The story: Pretty short. It could have been interesting but it stopped before it did (and the ending was stupid). The price: Really not enough content/quality for that price. Oh and it was a kinetic novel. Choices you make don't matter at all.
