Players criticize Skywriter as a lazy mobile game port with minimal effort and poor value at its asking price, with complaints about boring, simplistic gameplay and a confusing accuracy system that frustrates players. While a few acknowledge it's "not that bad" or passable, the overwhelming consensus is that it lacks substance as a PC game and feels like an undeserving cash grab of a free mobile title.
Skywriter is a free mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as a cheap, lazy cash grab by mobile devs, Zero Flag. It's a simple top down join-the-dots puzzle game where you need to steer a plane between numbered dots to form the skywriting, get the right number of mobile app stars to move to the next level. This is a very low effort, simplistic mobile app. There's little to no merit here as a PC game, it's clear the developer just dumped this here as an afterthought/cash grab. Once more we see greedy mobile devs trying to scam PC gamers. They want $4 USD for this free mobile app! Mobile devs must learn PC gamers are not here to be gouged, and can't be expected to pay a premium for a free mobile app just because it's been lazily dumped on Steam. This is unacceptable disrespect for PC gamers. I didn't spend thousands on a gaming PC so I could pretend it's an iPhone.5 found this helpful
