Slingshot Explorer: The Twelve Towers

Gave this a try since the developer was kind enough to provide me with a free key. Sadly, this game proved frustrating right out of the gate. Hard to get a flow for the gameplay as the difficulty curve is non-existent. You’re just punished straight away with unsettlingly hard gameplay. I don’t mind a challenge if the rewards are there. In my short time with this game, there were no such rewards to speak of. The graphics are Atari-2600 quality, music was annoying, and the game design in general just turned me off. Word of advice - utilize a difficulty curve instead of just pounding the player into the pavement from the word Go. Thanks to the developer for providing the free code, but unfortunately I won’t be playing your game or recommending it to anyone. 😕. I wish you luck in future game development.

What is this ♥♥♥♥? Stop paying people to rate your game good. This isn't even debatable, your game is outright just not good. Your game shouldn't remind anyone of any older (retro) games, because as far as I'm aware, older games didn't have literal ♥♥♥♥ falling from the sky. Older games at least gave you the chance of winning, which is something that this game does not. There are positive reviews that I have read that say that they haven't gotten past level 1, yet they still rate it positive? Delete this from the Steam Store. I can't believe some ♥♥♥♥ like this got past any sort of quality control. POST-DEV-RESPONSE EDIT: (Glad that I got a dev. response on this within a mere 3 hours, so at least support is good. Nowhere did I say that the game is unbeatable, just in case you forgot to actually drag your eyes across the review, I said that your game does not give the chance for anyone to beat it, the video you linked does not represent how my gameplay experience went at all. This is the reason a ton of developers need to research what actually makes a good game before trying to release their own. Steam gets such a bad name sometimes because of titles like this. No, I do not recommend this game. Ever. Also, there is literally poo in this game. Once I got hit by it I just couldn't play anymore. It felt like the developer really just took a big sh*t on me for gifting me this game.

Slingshot Explorer was given to me as a review copy. As someone that loves retro and arcade-type video games, they felt that I was a good pick to do a review of this game. The only reason I ran this game for 6 minutes is because that is the minimum amount before I'm allowed to write a negative review. Saying it is trash is an insult to trash.
