Really fun action. Battler game reminds me of the flash games I used to play as a kid, just with a bit more polish and slot machines 💙

Fun game! The boss wolf lady is a baddie. Possibly too easy, beat the game on the first run.

Slot or Not is a really enjoyable game with great visuals and a great overall gameplay feel. All the animations, sounds, and the general feeling of the game are genuinely very satisfying The core idea of the game also is alright, you put random items into a slot machine and random things happen, but you still have some level of control over it However, at times the game feels far too random. For example, after winning a fight, you get the classic modern roguelike "choice of three" items to add to your deck. The problem is that not only are the items random, but they also have random modifiers. I once got a healing item that rolled a modifier which made it deal damage to me, so the item was completely useless Apart from the randomness, which is sometimes fun but sometimes overdone, I feel like the game is missing more synergy. There are not many things that meaningfully work together. Of course, there are conditions like “if this item is next to another item,” but that still feels random. The trinkets you can buy in the shop mostly focus on basic increases, like boosting the multiplier or damage. I miss the feeling of building around a specific strategy I completed one run by si…

Yeah... you read the reviews, and it's all the same story, and then you play the game and join the ranks. All the pieces are there for a great game, but it doesn't quite get over the hump. More often than not, there is no reason but to select 1 weapon for your spin. So, your build becomes (in a sense) a 1 card combo. Get a purple weapon at stage 1, and ride that pony till the end of the game. But beyond that, it's a fun little ride. So, it get's a yes as a good game, but I wouldn't fight anybody's review of a NO.

Artstyle is very charming and is the reason I bought the game. Soundtrack is REALLY good. Gameplay is fun. Dialogue is... a little cringe at times but that's fine, I'm not playing the game for its dialogue. Either I got lucky or the game is pretty easy (played as the default guy, not the dedicated easy mode character). Overall content is a little lacking but there's a roadmap so thankfully that seems like it's gonna change. Overall I'd recommend, if you're looking for a game you can really sink your teeth into though I'd recommend waiting for some updates (or just buying it now and waiting). Stuff I'd personally want is some sort of adjustable difficulty, like modifiers or something. I wanna play as the nurse but don't want to play the game on easy mode. A few more enemies in each zone would be nice too.
