✦ AI summary

Players are divided on this game. Some praise the engaging deck-building and mahjong hybrid gameplay, comparing it favorably to roguelike hits like Slay the Spire and Balatro, with several reporting it consumed their entire day. However, others express frustration about the pervasive use of AI-generated assets—particularly voice acting that sounds robotic and lifeless, plus concerns that AI elements (like the main menu song) appear to contradict developer claims about limiting AI to early conceptual stages, leading some to feel misled and to seek refunds.

The only negative reviews i see are people downloading a mahjong game then complaining they dont know how to play mahjong.

If you recognize the gameplay, it may be because it's a game mode available to play on Mahjong Soul/Jantama that got converted into its own roguelite game. But because it's a 1-on-1 score comparison with the cpu and the relics are separated by the suits, and not the yakus, you end up kind of doing the same chinitsu hand building every turn and it gets boring extremely fast. What matters in this game is not putting the optimal hand together in any situation like an actual mahjong game, but hoping that your relics and items are gonna boost your score high enough to beat the exponentially rising boss scores. I got 4 yakumans and 12 agaris total in a game and still lost to the boss cpu, because every agari she got 1.2 million points. The characters' 3d model look low quality and most of them are palette swaps of 4 base characters. The same music plays most of the time, will eventually drive you insane too. Strongly do not recommend, especially if you know how to play mahjong already, just go play mahjong with other real people, not this number simulator.

I've seen people complain that this game doesn't have enough of a Mahjong tutorial, and they're wrong. The entire game is a mahjong tutorial, with each character specializing in a specific part of the game. Just by playing you'll pick up concepts, first focusing narrowly on a single characters specialty, and then diversifying as you unlock more characters. The powers and items help keep every session fresh, allowing you to try different characters, builds, and loadouts if one strategy gets stale. The flashy designs of the characters and environments are charming, and elevate the game above other mahjong sims. My only complaint is the English VAs are very bad, so I play with the excellent original Chinese voicework. But there are a lack of subtitles for in-match smack talk, character comments, etc. These are not essential to gameplay but provide insight into the characters personalities, and its a shame to miss out on them.

Excellent mahjong game. Visually pleasing and mechanically satisfying. The whole game has a roguelite design which is very fun. Every run is different, and unlocking characters and learning to play them is awesome.

Such a great game. It took me a bit, but when things clicked for me it became so much fun and a great time waster. The biggest tip I have for beginners is to focus on the character specific recommended hands, and to not worry too much about looking through the giant guide of all the winning hands. If you choose the right figurines and relics and properly build around your character, you'll do just fine.

Awesome game, went in with 0 knowledge and caught on pretty quick, some parts are still difficult, but the learning as you play seems to work okay if you focus on specific tactics. Very enjoyable experience
