So Long Earth is an adventure/platformer game with hand drawn art and an esoteric neuvo steampunk theme as you fly off the earth or something. Unfortunately I simply couldn't get the game to "work" despite the customisable controls... the character just wouldn't move. I guess some testing is necessary when engaged in the business of software development. Perhaps there's an expectation to use a console peasant children's toy controller, which is an unacceptable insult to PC gamers. Developers must not dictate to gamers how games are to be played. On the upside the hand drawn artwork isn't so offensive it will put gamers off, it's not hand drawn art... but there's a lot of basic requirements that any game must satisfy that this game doesn't. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. Comically, the game was written in Adobe Flash/AIR (I'm not making this up). …

Игра 'So Long Earth' оставляет смешанные чувства. Визуально проект выполнен достойно, особенно впечатляют масштабные космические пейзажи и детализация кораблей. Сюжет подается интересно, затрагивая темы морального выбора и последствий решений для человечества. Однако, геймплей, увы, не дотягивает. Управление кораблём ощущается немного неуклюжим, а сражения быстро становятся однообразными. Некоторые миссии кажутся затянутыми и не всегда логичными. Несмотря на увлекательную историю и атмосферу, игра страдает от повторяющегося геймплея и не самой отзывчивой механики управления. Любителям космических симуляторов, ищущим медитативный опыт с акцентом на сюжет, игра может понравиться. Но тем, кто ожидает динамичных и разнообразных сражений, возможно, стоит обратить внимание на другие проекты. В целом, 'So Long Earth' имеет потенциал, но нуждается в доработке геймплея, чтобы полностью раскрыться.

UPDATE REVIEW; ABANDON GAME BROKEN COMBAT: 4/25/24 SORRY but game play is seems very fun but the aim of the gun is very poor if this would of been fixed it may of been worth a few bucks or more. I'm Not even sure how huge of map or much work was done in this game do to dying all the time due to the gun shoots like it was done on purpose to just annoy the player and What kind of gun shoots a bullet that goes up and drops like a toy gun, was this a joke due to they made it free.
