Feels like something between a demo stage asset flip in a decades-old GameMaker competitor (Construct 2, in this case), and an(other) incomprehensible side scroller with no native controller support, no Steam integration, no tutorial, and no reason to exist. This doesn’t exactly sing after a JoyToKey mapping, so don’t bother. In fact, go outside and look at a tree. It's an extremely "bleh" game that doesn't serve much of any purpose. You're in the dark most of the time and the goal of each stage isn't clear so expect to just fumble around until you figure it out. When you pick up your gun you fight squares which are the only enemy in the game. Reach the exit and then you get to a note that says 'they didn't listen' which is the end of the game and you get booted back to the title. It's actually playable but not good at all and completely pointless.
