So May It Be: A Witch Dating Simulator

Oh man, I really wanted to like this game--but despite the cute concept and witchy aesthetic, there are just too many issues with the game for me to be able to recommend it. The first major problem is the complete and total lack of basic VN features. There is: [list][*] No way to view previously read lines [*] No way to automatically advance text [*] No way to skip text you've already read (in a game with achievements that encourage you to play the game multiple times) [*] No way to adjust message display speed [*] You know how in other games you can click while a message is being written out to have the whole thing display instantly? Yeah, this game doesn't even have [i]that[/i]. Enjoy waiting for every letter to slowly appear one by one.[/list] So, from the very beginning, the game is a hassle to play. These are features which are built into [i]every[/i] specialized visual novel engine, so it's very obvious when a developer chooses to make their own system without bothering to build them in. Really sweet and wholesome dating sim! I loved the simplicity and the atmosphere. There are quite a few choices and you have to play multiple times to get all achievements and paths. I enjoyed the many mini games and found myself gravitating towards this game in times of overwhelm. -WitchyMcWitchFace

super cute visual novel that is great to play and enjoy with very little brain power. and it earns extra points for being the first game with an erin character i've played (my name lol)

I think the game is pretty cute! You play as witch with three witch friends, who you can hang out with and get to know them better and even fall in love if you wish to do so. Overall the routes are pretty short but I feel like the witches personality still got to shine through this short time. The character design is very adorable in my opinion and the backdrops feel super cozy. I like that you can interact with some objects to get some "lore" about the friendships you have. If you looking for a cozy short dating sim without lifechanging drama, this might be for you! I got it on sale and do not regret buying it and consider playing the other routes as well :D Plus: Bonus points for being able to pet the cat as much as you want to!!
