Everyone Socrates Jones knows seems to love philosophy— everyone except Socrates himself. A simple accountant from New York, Socrates was never interested in philosophical questions or the art of arguing. But when he finds himself debating for his life against a queue of famous philosophers, Socrates Jones has no choice but to expand his horizons in a quest to find the nature of morality.

Socrates Jones: Pro Philosopher is a game about debates that doesn't hide its Ace Attorney inspirations. I liked it. It looks very amateur, and the writing isn't the best, but it's entertaining enough and it doesn't outstay its welcome. I like the core concept of arguing with distilled dumbed-down versions of great philosophers. I'd say it's totally worth your time for the low price of free, and also this made me interested in the sequel which differs by not having extremely horrendous art.3 found this helpful
It's basically Ace Attorney but with Philosophy instead of Law, and without the investigations: just the debates. I mean that greatly as a compliment, but there is also the signature feeling of being 2 steps ahead and screaming because the argument you presented DOES prove your point, but the player-character doesn't see it. Also, there is an AA reference in the game, and I felt so validated in my comparison!2 found this helpful
Another cool early-2010s English VN, this time with less shotacon and more philosophy. Predictable outcome if you've read any Plato, but still a fun play, and the soundtrack wasn't a bad touch! I hoped to see Gorgias or Thrasymachus, even Callicles, but hey, I'll take it.
I was a philosophy minor in college, and it was fun to be quizzed on the fundamentals again. This is game is cute, funny, and thought-provoking. And it's free! And it's short! Play it. You might even learn something ;)
infinity is not the same as all-encompassing - i agree as a math major, not as an accountant! It is also a maxim to hate on Kant for the sake of hating on Kant.
Dude, they managed to make Kant much easier to understand on the surface level. Kudos! That being said, unless you're looking for a refresher, this is a one-and-done kind of game. It doesn't make it bad though, and it's a great intro to some big name philosophers!
