BECAUSE THIS IS EARLY-ACCESS AND THE DEV. IS NOT SHOWING UP IN THE DISCUSSIONS, I WRiTE HIM THIS OPEN LETTER. I POST IT HERE (AND IN THE DISCUSSIONS), INSTEED OF A NORMAL REVIEW. Hi dev., Wow, i am impressed. This is by far the best GameGuru game, that i played in ages. I loved the artstyle and the cinematics, great, how you handle this engine. I liked the over-the-top humor and the nudity. The game is trashy but really good and i had so much fun playing it. I was just starting to write a possitive review, then i saw, that you do not answer questions from your customers in the discussion-area. And there is no way to get in touch with you, there is no connected account or website. Really, you are putting a game in early-access without keeping the discussions in view? That is a big no go for me. Because of that, i will not write a positive review. If you change your mind and take a look for your customers, maybe i will change my mind. I really dont think, that you will look at this, but if you do, i want to tell you the things, that are not good in the game. I hope, you will change that. - The weird pop-in when you get hit. All of my 26 minutes in Solar Battalion were spent trying to launch the game. No version of Proton thus far has been powerful enough to run it without crashing before the first level, and both of my friends who played it on Windows were blessed with broken lighting and materials. From what I have seen, it is a real video game and a true work of art. You journey across garish alien worlds and shoot people, which triggers text-to-speech audio clips and jpegs of nurses over your screen, and every so often you visit a brothel. Don't be deceived by the game's steam description of it as "a neo-noir cyberpunk science fiction action game. That depicts a dystopian future:" this is real life. Trust me, I know this. I am the Junior Unassistant Manager of ExxonMobil, so I know how the world works. And like real life, there is nothing quite like it. You can walk outside, get stabbed by a crackhead, and when she hears the news that you're dead, your liberal aunt will shake her head sadly and tell the family that this could have been prevented with safe injection sites and public meth dispensers. Needs a little work before I can recommend this game. For a quirky indie title its pretty much what I expected. Something weird to kill some time. Loading times are terrible, it keeps telling me target is down when they clearly are not, ammo seems to run low even though your supposed to be some kind of trained operative going into a planned mission ... idk. I really want to finish watching all the cut scenes just because wtf. But I doubt I'll be trying to get through this game any time soon. Maybe if I get an upgrade and it doesn't take 4 mins to load each level. I mean damn, I might not have a top of the line computer but for this game ... it should be able to handle it no problems.Oh yeah, and every single time you get hit a nurse pops in front of you telling you you've been hit. Needs some tweaking but I could see it being good game.
