About SomnaBuster
IF THE DREAM IS REAL TO YOU, IT IS WORTH FIGHTING FOR!
Accounting student Macy is down on her luck and out of her mind. But, her life of hum-drum meets an abrupt interruption at the visit of a mysterious firefly. In her place, a witch-like spirit bearing her likeness wakes up in Esperanto, a strange world manifested from the hearts and dreams of all. With an explosive broom in tow, our hero sets out to discover the mysteries of Esperanto and find her home - wherever it may be.
SomnaBuster is a 2D platformer set across Esperanto, the vibrant dreamworld. Use your powers to chase the sky and mend the breeze.

REV UP YOUR BROOM
Rock the signature Broomburst ability! Launch yourself like a cannonball, then go pogo-mode to bounce off enemies, walls, and anything that itches your trigger finger. Levels are designed to be played at any number of speeds and skill levels.

GRAB THE WORLD BY ITS HORNS
Esperanto is a garden blooming with unique environmental objects and hazards. Ride across growing vines, knock your head against trumpet-shaped tunnels, or summon a stylus to draw the road ahead. There are over 2 dozen ways for the world to move you around - so get the lead out, or lose your head.

DUST KNUCKLES WITH NE'ER-DO-WELL-ERS
Face off against imposing bosses at the end of each world - trade blows with a delusional DJ, or outrun a rampaging ice monster. Experience state of the art 'when-you-hit-them-enough-times, they-shout-'ack-ooch-eef'-and-fall-over' programming technologies.

I tried my best to like this but from world 5 onwards the game just becomes terrible and badly inspired by the original rayman 4/10
Something was missing for me on the platforming that I can't quite piece out. Maybe a part of that was some hope for there to be more spots where Broomshred as a walljump would be required more, yet Broomburst and ceiling walking (which is sick, btw) handled most of the platforming and big skips that I magic'd upon. Like even when going through stages again to cut down on my times, it was a bit too much a chill jaunt with not enough stress to make stages memorable in terms of testing you mechanically. But aesthetically? Musically? This is one of my favorite games to just look at, and there are some real Sega-fied earworms among the tracks. I am in love with the hand-drawn artstyle that I already experienced in Disaster Arms, but it hit even stronger for me in SomnaBuster with things being less "industrial" and mechanical, and more dreamy, mysterious, abstract, etc. Awesome character and stage designs on display here.
Very fun game if you enjoy trying to master satisfying fast movement skills or if you enjoy time attack games. Nothing feels quite as good as being able to zip through a level bouncing off of everything like a pinball, you're rewarded for knowing the levels well. Reminds you of classic Sonic in that way, but of course that also means that stages will punish you for going too fast without knowing what you're doing. There are many pits to fall, fly, or spin bounce your way into, and it's impossible to see that far ahead going at max speed. While the health system is excellent, falling to your death costs you a full bar as opposed to everything else doing 1 damage which may feel a little frustratingly dated to some. The lives system is also a bit dated, sometimes it's better to jump in a pit to put your stock back at full when attempting a harder level. The presentation is delightful, nostalgic but also fresh, and I can't get the music out of my head. Few games have quite as much personality. The story is silly and whimsical but at the same time deeply personal. While I really appreciate the total time being a total of each level pb that you can shave down b…
I only played to credits + playing abit with the "pogo-mode" (I cleared the game unaware of this mechanic). I recommend watching the dev's own time attack videos of the stages to get a look at what is possible. Visual presentation speaks for itself.
Es un juego divertido para pasar el rato, definitivamente el apartado visual es lo más encantador que tiene el título.
This is such a fun little game! I adore platformers and adored this one. It has really simple and fun movement that all of the levels complement really well. The bosses are also very fun! It took me a few tries learning some of their patterns, but there was nothing that I really felt was unfair or cheap. The story also charmed me a whole ton! Overall a really nice game :) I'm looking forward to playing more from them.
