This is another gem by Orange Pixel. The game play is turn based, but you don't have to wait. The enemies move and attack after every move you make. Which can make this a fast paced game, but acting too hasty and making wrong moves will cost you your life. Fortunately you have the Chrono Shard which set you back to your last respawn point and saves your progress. However the Chrono Shard depletes with every move and needs to be recharged regularly at transport platforms all over the place. The game also adds other really fun game mechanics that will make you plan before you act. If you like exploring derelict spacecraft with bio based monsters that also create zombies, this is the game for you. Think about your next move before you blow everything up to save the day. p.s.: The default mouse and keybinding is not that useful. I remapped the keys to something like Hollow Knight uses. OrangePixel has done it again. Great custom pixel art with interesting turn based combat. Had a lot of fun with the demo and can't wait to play the full release more.
Lots of fun, great game! Have played the previous Space Grunts game, and this one is my favorite. Great music and strategy. One thing to learn is this is not just a brute force game, you have to think your way through puzzling situations to stay alive (I have to keep learning this). Love the tie-ins to Residual! Great job, highly recommend!
