About Space Grunts 2

Space Grunts is a turn-based, top-down, rogue-like where all your battles and interactions are handled using your deck of cards.

GAMEPLAY

Every game you play is uniquely generated from building blocks. No two levels are the same, no two game sessions are the same. As you progress through the levels you get to collect items for your inventory: weapons, shields, and dozens of other types of items. Each item in your inventory is a card in your deck.

Don't want certain cards? don't pick them up! That's how you build your deck in this game: as you go.

When you encounter aliens, you will engage with them in a card battle: Either you or the alien will choose the first card, depending on who attacks who. And then the other picks his card. Defeat the alien, and move on to the next! Card battles are \swift\, and to the point.

The game will randomly generate events, alternate routes and decide what effects plant-spores have on you or the aliens. Like I said: no two games will be the same!

How can EVERYTHING that Orangepixel made is the worst gaming experience that can race with Ubermosh games... Y'now what, I'm just gonna copy paste this comment, for any game that I have from this developer...

A challenging little action turn-based deckbuilding procedurally-generated roguelike dungeon crawler that tends to keep me up late at night playing one more run. I'm still not very good at it, but it's alot of fun, so I keep on trying!!

A turn-based space station crawler with intuitive controls. You are dropped right into the adventure and learn everything as you go, so it's a smooth start. The core idea is that except for movement whatever you do is done via selecting cards from your hand that represent various actions, depending on your available gear -- attack, heal, get to cover, get info, retreat, and so on. Obviously, there's a deck building element here, and finding "the" right combos is always fun. Don't expect big drama or story in this game, but if you're a fan of cheesy 1950--60s sci-fi movies (as you should be), you'll find all the beloved tropes here. The areas you're exploring are procedurally generated, but there's a predefined progression of scenes, although I admit, I haven't been able to complete a full run yet. There are also various kinds of challenges and the obligatory "daily run." Extra points for the Captain's voice, a 2nd best Shatner-impression after Kevin Pollak's.
