SPACEJUMP

SPACEJUMP is yet another construction kit template copy+paste from serial shovelware pushers, HandMade Games. These guys do nothing but copy premade game templates and game tutorials, fill out a few things/stamp out basic levels using the construction kit templates, slap on an asset flipped set of sprites/assets, and dump them on Steam and into cheap nasty shovelware game bundles as cash grabs. Trying to get paid for someone else's game templates, assets... at best, this is shovelware, at worst, it's a scam/cash grab. SPACEJUMP is yet another of literally hundreds of lazy amateur 2D retro top-down bullet hell shoot'em ups infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere... this is just a Galaga ripoff stolen from a basic GameMaker Studio template. A minimum viable product cash grab from a Russian asset flipper. HandMade Games/jUNKIE have a known history of trying to scam people into paying them money for someone else's work, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. Spacejump has a distinct visual style, and that's about all that it excels at. You shoot enemies, occasionally they'll drop green, glowing powerups. If you shoot those, one of your two allies will aid you in the attack. That's it. There are no niceties such as a damage cooldown. This is the sort of thing that would be exciting as game jam submission or alpha build, but is disappointing as a finished game.

It's a cool idea to do an updated version of space invaders with a new aesthetic, liked the vibes was a little less sure on the stolen images from blade runner? and the screenshake was definitely too much for me rip cool little game tho

The title screen of this game blew me away, really cool visuals and psychedelic vibe, same as in a couple of levels. other than that its mindless space invader gameplay with occasional nuke buttons if you get lucky. RIP your eyes on the death screen too

It's braindead gameplay, only reason I will recommend it it's cause I know the developer can do better things than this. Creativity is always welcome but the gameplay has 0 challange. Wait till enemy shoots, shoot a bit, move away til they do again. Rinse and repeat. Should not be charging people 9 bucks. Best make it free.
