Speed Dates offers a unique live-action dating sim experience that some players find entertaining for streaming or casual play, but the game suffers from significant issues including dialogue choices that don't match character responses, unskippable scenes with wildly varying quality, and translation problems that make reading subtitles feel more like work than play. Players also note limited interaction options and awkward, sometimes uncomfortable character behavior that feels poorly balanced, making the overall experience feel more tedious than engaging despite the novelty of its FMV format.

Awkward questions with wild answers that oftentimes don't actually correspond to whatever Murat (the protagonist) actually says. One girl asked if I like talking to people on the internet in a forum or dictionary (machine translation might be wrong here?) and when I said "no", Murat just suddenly started talking about the excess of misinformation and how people shouldn't be allowed to use the internet unless they pass a test. What the hell? You cannot skip scenes. Some dates are incredibly boring, others are short but don't give you much to work with, and then there's some that are just outright uncomfortable. If the roles were reversed, Leyla, for instance, would be considered an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that doesn't respect boundaries. It feels like a good representation of the awkwardness and discomfort but even the good moments of speed dating but the game is weirdly edited, the questions don't make a lot of sense, and at times, it just breaks the immersion so much when you say one thing and Murat instead becomes a weirdo. Some conversations feel like chat bots talking to each other and not responding to each other whatsoever, instead just listing factoids or whatever. Very rough around the…1 found this helpful
Speed Dates is a live-action interactive romance game developed and published by Icarus Interactive Entertainment that blends the format of a dating simulator with the cinematic style of a full-motion-video experience. Rather than relying on animated characters or traditional gameplay systems, the game presents its story through filmed scenes with real actors. The player participates in a series of speed-dating encounters where dialogue choices determine how conversations unfold and ultimately shape the romantic outcomes of the evening. The story revolves around Murat, a man attending a speed-dating event in hopes of finding a meaningful connection. The concept is simple but relatable: Murat has only a few minutes with each participant, and those brief interactions determine whether a relationship has the potential to continue. Each conversation becomes a delicate balancing act where the player must choose between different approaches such as humor, honesty, flirtation, or curiosity. The responses chosen by the player influence how each character reacts, leading to a wide variety of narrative paths that reflect the unpredictable nature of first impressions. The gameplay structure…1 found this helpful

You have to read the subtitles FAST though. Not many options you can pick but still fun for stream.
The game functions OK minus you can pick the same person over and over to get the right answers. I was given this game to review but was not told the game was in Turkish and reading a video game is not quite as fun as play a video game.
