About SPINGUN

SPINGUN is a "manic two-button arcade shooter". Two buttons. One spaceship. Zero chance to survive.

Goliath is attacking your planet, but you've heroically stayed behind with your ship so your family can evacuate. SPIN and GUN your way to victory.

Fly and steer with either single button, or press both buttons at once to fire your ship’s powerful blaster gun. Grab powerups to launch missiles, plasma balls, and flames at your foes. Blast em to bits quick to repair your ship. How long can you fight them off?

✦ AI summary

SPINGUN is a minimalist arcade shooter that challenges players with an intentionally constrained two-button control scheme where movement and shooting are intertwined, creating a unique and demanding experience. Players praise its clever design philosophy, arcade difficulty, and ability to extract surprising depth from simplicity, though some find the small arena combined with random enemy spawning and pickup placement frustrating. A common complaint is the absence of local multiplayer, which many feel would be a natural fit for the game's design.

Awesome arcade game! Its movement twist is awkwardly refreshing! You can only thrust forward while spinning/turning at the same time / with the same button. You can choose left or right with thrusting or press both to shoot without being able to navigate meanwhile. When you learned the controls is pretty much like Luftrausers but cramped into a dense one screen room, which will fill quickly with enemies so be quicker to shoot 'em down! Very recommended if you like challenging arcade games! Controller input and achievements work!

Too much RNG for such a small arena. Enemies will spawn on top of your pickups constantly

SPINGUN developed by Fermenter Games and published by First Break Labs is a minimalist arcade shoot ’em up that builds its entire identity around constraint. With only two buttons controlling every aspect of movement and offense, the game strips away the conventions of modern twin-stick shooters and replaces them with a system that demands adaptation, rhythm, and mastery of momentum. It is a title that doesn’t attempt to overwhelm with content or cinematic spectacle; instead, it challenges players to extract depth from simplicity and survive in an unforgiving arena of escalating chaos. The premise is straightforward: you pilot a lone spaceship defending your world against an onslaught of enemy forces. What immediately distinguishes the experience is its control philosophy. Each button applies thrust in a different direction, and firing occurs when both buttons are pressed simultaneously. There is no dedicated aim stick or separate firing trigger. Movement and shooting are inseparable, creating a dynamic where positioning becomes the foundation of combat effectiveness. Early sessions can feel unintuitive, even clumsy, as players adjust to the ship’s rotational physics and propulsio…

Why this isn't a local multiplayer game blows my mind.

Clever minimal design - intentionally awkward controls (read the tags) - I've barely played it and I feel like I've gotten my 2 bucks worth. This seems like it was likely made for phones, and the control scheme makes the most sense there - I think I'll pick it up on Android and give that a shot. If you like arcade-y oddities, this is for you.
Fly your ship and shoot using two buttons only. Sounds tricky right? Because it is.
