About Spirit Hunter: Death Mark
You have been Marked...
A strange rumor is spreading through the shadows of Tokyo's H City: a mysterious disfigurement, like a grotesque birthmark, has been appearing on the bodies of certain individuals. Anyone who receives the Mark will rapidly die of unknown, horrifying causes.
Deprived of your memories, you arrive at a mansion rumored to protect the bearers of the Mark. As the doors swing open, the countdown to death has already begun...
Key Features
• Search and Survive! - To avoid an almost certain gruesome death at the “hands” of angry spirits, you’ll need to search your surroundings for clues to increase your odds of survival.
• Ghost Busting - Sometimes the sword is more powerful than the pen. And when words fail it’s time to stand your ground. Remember the price of not holding your own is an untimely death.
• Riddle Me This - It’s not enough to defeat the spirit that cursed you, you need to do it in the right way. If you don’t you might survive, but end up wishing you hadn’t. Be sure to parse all the clues and information you discover correctly to make your life continue to be worth living.

Probably one of my all time favourite horror visual novels. Really enjoyable scares and plot. Not too long either which could be a negative for some considering the price point, however it was a plus for me as they knew exactly how not to overstay the welcome and stick the landing. Had me itching for more!1 found this helpful
I'm on chapter 5 currently, so i can't speak on the ending, but I really like this game. The investigation is fun and the spirits in each chapter are super interesting. I particularly liked the spirits in chapters 1 and 3, their stories were really sad. Chapter 1 might be a little off putting as it has way more sexual content compared to the other chapters, but the story and resolution for the spirit put the sexual content in a perspective where it was actually related to the plot. That's not to say there isn't any sexual content, there's like, 1 naked lady per chapter so far but chapter 1 was the most... aggressive about it. I appreciate that the spirits are more nuanced than simply "oooo spooky evil monster", it makes them feel much more like the grudges or remnants of real people. I didn't think the game could make me feel bad for chapter 2's spirit but by the end I really wanted to help him. The scariest spirit for me so far was chapter 4's spirit, but that may just be because
pigs majorly freak me out
lmao one thing is that theres no names above the text boxes, but if you're someone like me that picks up on the different characters's styles of talking it s…
I bought this game and started playing on my Steam Deck. Within the first 10 minutes the game crashes. It’s a VN lol. Then I got to Chapter 1 or Case 1. Finally! A place where it allows me to SAVE GAME! I click save game and see the message after saying please Dont turn off, game saved. Something like that. Close game. Next day when I boot game I see “New Game”. There is no Load, no Continue. I restart my Steam Deck. Still no saved data. I fast forward text and get back to where I was. I clicked Save Game probably four times and watched every time as the game had a quick message saying Dont close game while saving, then game saved. I knew if I kept playing and didnt test if my data was actually saved this time then I would just be wasting time. So I closed game and reopened. To…”New Game”!!! LOLL no Load or Continue once again. This is a VERIFIED to play on Steam Deck game and you cannot save your data. Idk if it was a recent patch they did or what. But it doesn’t even do the basic function of saving your game in 2026. I just refunded. Thanks for wasting my time devs!
Playing this while exercising is the best 'hack' there is. I enjoyed the story and liked how there wasn't cheesy jumpscares like some horror games had. Sure, there is some that is obviously coming but it wasn't constant. I enjoyed exploring around and loved the artwork. I liked the spirits and chapter 6 has to be my favorite spirit. The "Live or Die" test out your reading comprehension to see if the player was paying attention to the clues. Haha.
Fantastic game the saving isn't always at the best time but you can always just skip the text to get back to were you were. I was immediately sucked in and didn't want to play anything else until I finished it
this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing. i loved it so much. all of the characters are so interesting and i just like all of them. artwork is insane, as much as i think they got progressively less common and less detailed. that pissed me off a little bit cause i just love the artstyle. great story, INSANE design for the spirits…
the spider from chapter 6?
like WHAAAATTT that was so sick.
the soldier from chapter 5 too,
so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing. the gameplay is also dope, i reeeally like the investigations and the puzzles. i wish i could just save the game whenever and that there was a way to play the chapters individually so we could get all the endings without having to play the game all over again… also, the dialogue is so slow…that wasn’t very nice. the only thing i genuinely NEED to criticize: why the ♥♥♥♥ are you sexualizing children? multiple times even? that moe ceiling illustration was NOT it, dude. “oh she’s not a kid, she’s 16” no, she’s still a minor, YOU ARE A CREEP. sexualizing hiro and miss zoo and etc is one thing…i think it’s unnecessary but ok…but not a teenager, it’s not okay. anywaaysss…despite that, the game is super cool. i will 1…
