There is no combat; progression revolves around events and flag management. Notes and diary fragments clearly point you to the next destination, providing almost all the hints you need. If you feel stuck, simply making another round of the rooms and retriggering events will usually get you moving forward. At key moments, you borrow the power of the color goddess to lay evil spirits to rest through “rituals.” Rather than being scary, the tone leans more toward an erotic supernatural tale, with scenarios and ways of torment differing for each spirit, which works well. The combination of pixel-art exploration segments and cute anime-style character art is appealing, and the banter with the goddess herself is lighthearted, keeping the horror-based story from becoming uniformly dark.
