Spritz the Happy Onion is a zesty, delicious throwback to momentum-based platformers of old. But unlike the heroes in those games, Spritz is not beholden to jumping off the ground; he can also leap infinitely off stuff in the background! A chill but challenging adventure, Spritz the Happy Onion will have you weeping for all the right reasons. Glutorax, Devourer of Moons, has arrived at Earth from deep space to, you might have guessed, devour our moon. Only Spritz the Happy Onion possesses the recipe for a cake that will spoil his appetite. But the ingredients are spread across the world, and protected by regular-sized guardians, which seem really massive because Spritz is a regular-sized onion.

Really nice to play a platformer that is short and sweet, with a unique art style, and feels really good to play. Seeing each of the incredible (and often upsetting) bosses feels worth the price of admission alone!2 found this helpful
Excellent platform, fun visuals
It's a great game for speedrunners. Quick straight forward levels, until the next to last one. The precursor to the last level has a key/door mechanic that felt like a huge change from the previous levels and I didn't quite like it. But other than that it's just a fun romp as an onion trying to make some food for pants.
A good game to mellow out to. The gameplay is simple, but fun to get the hang of. The egg system works well for encouraging better play while keeping the stakes chill. The Tears mode is a great boost in difficulty for a little spice (though the boss of Mailville becomes a genuine nightmare on that difficulty). The worlds and boss designs are surreal and creative (Sideway is my favourite). Spritz himself is a charmingly polite protagonist too. Though a small criticism I have is that some walls are very bright and make it kind of hard to see the paintings that give you boosts, especially in Glove Grove. Overall, a delightful little experience, very whimsical and amusing.
