I respect SquishCraft for how fully it embraces the insanity of its premise, but the puzzle design is just unreasonably difficult & unenjoyable. I wish more sokoban-style games tried to be roomy like Patrick's Parabox, rather than the unfun claustrophobia that's more typical in sokoban games, which unfortunately includes SquishCraft. So while SquishCraft has really neat ideas re: squishing and combining blocks, its levels require *way* too much execution. That seemed like a huge missed opportunity. A related problem was that, because so many levels require ridiculous execution nonsense, that I had little trust in the designer. So I looked up even puzzles I could've solved on my own; I just assumed they'd also require nonsense to solve. Apart from that, the game also annoyingly incentivizes completionism, in that several levels are locked behind 100%ing the game. Verdict: Not recommended. SquishCraft has a really neat concept that's marred by level design which just doesn't fit the premise. The easier levels are enjoyable, but those won't be where you spend most of your playtime.

Free and amazing, full of cool stuff, fun level editor. Also for reading this here is a cool secret.
Hold tab
. Edit: I thought it was free, I was wrong. It has been a year since I last played this game, thought when coming back I should add a review

this is the hardest puzzle game i have played so far, and it isn't even close. EDIT - maxwell's puzzling demon is harder... the squish mechanism is combined with several other puzzle game tropes like buttons, lasers, mirrors, moving blocks, and spikes, to the absolute extreme. the squish mechanism alone is already enough for maybe a dozen challenging and creative levels, but with all the other blocks available that can also be squished, the amount of interactions is insane. one of the most interesting things about the squish mechanism is
the ability to squish a block (lose one moveable block altogether), yet split a squished block "off-grid" to end up with an extra block of a specific type, which for example could be a moving block. my favorite levels in this game were those that explore this idea of "squish-and-split" mechanism.
the actual sokobon block-pushing element of several levels is very punishing as well, requiring precise movement to complete. this game made me realize my sokoban game is not yet on point. oh yea, and the aesthetic of the game is something to behold as well. it's very cool that you can upload your own custom sprites :) i'm very glad…
