Design, build and control your own space station. Mission command and control is in your hands and only careful planning and vigilant supervision will keep your crew and space station safe. Manage scarce resources, survive a multitude of disasters and fund your station's growth by completing research projects.
Stable Orbit is a highly realistic space management simulation game. Set in 2034, an unprecedented ‘All Nations Space Coalition’ has been formed around a shared desire to rebuild mankind’s permanent presence in space. But space is a dangerous place. The only things between survival and your crew suffocating, blood boiling and radiation overdose are the thin walls of the space station.
As Station Commander, can the crew rely on you? In the words of legendary NASA Flight Director Gene Kranz: "failure is not an option!"

I want to give it a good review, because I love the concept... but it's abandonware, the UI is clunky and outdated, and it's nearly impossible to play in the campaign. You don't even start with enough money to complete the tutorial, it's very difficult to actually keep currency flowing... my crew left because of "critical supply levels" despite having two months of supplies left and a supply shuttle docking at that time. I wish there were good space station games, this one had a lot of promise. TL:DR It's challenging and can be done, but isn't intuitive and ignores key features in the tutorial (income, critical levels, notifications, etc. etc.)1 found this helpful

The game has been abandoned for a very long time. It is not worth the price-tag for the small content it brings. Don't bother. It has potential, but it won't be taken any further.1 found this helpful
genuinely unplayable unless you get literally EVERYTHING right in the first like 15 mins of the game, i really dont like this and i get how it could be argued its "realistic" but i dont really care if its realistic anymore when the fun of realism if overshadowed by the misery of having to deal with every save i make inevitably failing within the first 15 minutes of creating it.
