About Space Architect

About Space Architect
In a future where mega-corporations rule the universe's exploration, Earth is dying, and you were on the brink of homelessness. A mega-corp made you an offer you couldn't refuse—to live among the stars. The catch? A monstrous debt of $13 billion hanging over your head. Could you navigate the corporate maze and pay off the debt to gain your freedom in space?

Mine
Delve into space's treasure trove—mine asteroids, planets, stars, and even a black hole! Whether by using manual lasers or fancy automated drones, the universe is your oyster, and your station's thirst for resources knows no bounds.

Construct
Get your creative juices flowing and build all sorts of nifty devices to supercharge your station. Need more item production? Done. Want to automate things? You got it. Keeping your crew alive? Easy peasy. The sky's the limit! We are in space, which means there are no limits!

Production
Turn those shiny resources into even shinier items! Mix and match to create the latest and greatest items. It's like crafting a space-age masterpie, one doodad at a time.

Trade
Become the talk of the town—or rather, the radar—and charm passing ships into trading with you. Start with manual trades, then sit back as automation takes over. Cha-ching! Cash and tech points, here we come!

Tech
Level up your tech game by splurging those hard-earned points. More devices and items to choose from, more fun! It's like upgrading from a clunky space jalopy to a sleek star cruiser.

Black Corp
Watch out for those pesky folks at Black Corp and their R.E.A.P program. They're like the party poopers of the galaxy, but fear not! Pay off loan parts to reduce taxes, and kick corruption to the curb. Soon enough, even the bigwig ships will be knocking on your door for a piece of the action.

And remember, I have my faith in you! So go on, get out there and show the galaxy what you're made of!

I will be honest - I am tired of early access games that claim they are not in early access while having next to no content in it. Sadly, this game is exactly one of those. [list] [*] Building/automation. On paper you can build a base and fully automate it. In reality, however, you will notice almost immediately that you don’t really have much choice in your buildings - most things either have one building that does the job you need (like 1 power plant type, one floor/wall type, one pipe type, etc), or you will have the same building/a reskin doing several functions (repainted shuttles that mine different ores, factories with inbuilt recipes). For automation you get a pipe to transport any and all of your resources, and said pipe will often just break/disconnect randomly or on save/load. The variety of buildings is basically nonexistent and the buggyness of automation makes it frustrating. [*] Trade. The main point of building your space station is selling goods to traveling vessels. The funny part is - as soon as you hit a new tech level there is neither demand nor point in producing things you were producing before - because prices for goods grow almost exponentially, fr…

It took me a few hours to get use to the game UI and how pipes are meant to work. I have beaten the game multiple times doing 100% runs. My first completely run took 12hours currently because I am trying to beat the game within 100days (best at time of review is 152 days) which seems doable and only takes at most 6 hours and as little as 4hours. I really like the game and how things get done but certain things annoy me and likely do the same to other people because some things just aren't explained well enough. The biggest thing I dislike is how storage works if all your storage is full AI does nothing and items stuck in other machines can't be used for anything until they can be put into storage which means you have have everything you need to build something but because they can't put it into storage your stuck. I have lost people just becuase of that. Priorities in task can be a little weird at times because AI seems to stack X amount of tasks so changing priorities doesn't stop them from doing their current tasks which can brick AI in place at times with only a reload fixing it. If you have pipes going over inputs leads to all items in the pipe being dropped off which leads to…

There isn't much to the late game yet, but for a couple of dollars it's not bad.

The game is good/OK. The beginning has some fun mechanics that are somewhat addictive and give you that sense of grinding that is sometimes fun for a short period of time before you automate things but honestly I thought the game was a pre-release and it definitely could use some more polish. I've put about 5 hours into the game, and I don't think I'll put more than another 5 hours. It is fun, lightweight as in any computer can probably run it, and has good mechanics, but not something I can see myself playing for very long.

The game is pretty fun, the game loop isn't too complicated. Probably looking at 10ish hours of fun until the loop kind of fizzles out. If you like module placement puzzle types, then the game will provide you more hours of fun than my guesstimate. Once you get far enough you basically have a lot of demolish, replan, rebuild, demolish, replan. The game has a automation system, but its just meh. If you really like the idea of the game, its good. If you are looking for the best of the genre, that isn't this one.

so the game isn't horrible. however the tech tree needs a ton of work. often you will find you purchased something and can't build it till you purchase something else on another tree. the pipe work is pretty decent. however the ability to change the outputs and input location would be nice. spaghetti is a common outcome of the way the inputs and outputs are located. I'm not sure about the combat. i had pirates invade but it doesn't look like damage is actually there yet. at least i couldn't see them doing anything besides be annoying and popping up -1 hp texts all over but nothing looked broken and nothing got destroyed.
