Video Review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJbhFjQy2h0 Stack Stones is a physics based game that can be played single player, or multiplayer. The premise is simple. Stack stones to reach new heights, as fast as possible. To change things up a bit the game tosses in various power-ups and an assortment of attacks that will leave you proud of your building skills or send you back to the drawing board. There are multiple modes: Stack Race - It's as it sounds basically, you're trying to build upwards as quickly as possible. In this mode you get to choose the next stone you'll use, and is probably my 2nd preferred mode in the game. Puzzle - All of the stones are already on screen and you'll need to move them around to build your tower. Stone Rain - Stones fall from the sky, which requires you to have a bit of skill in catching the pieces as they fall so they don't destroy your hard work. Last Stack Standing - Stack Race, but this time there are rising water levels. This is my favorite mode, and preferred choice for multiplayer. Sound design is good. Stones make sounds interacting with eachother, the music is chill, and there's a decent variety in the power-ups/attacks. Repla…

Full Review + Gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5pZvMSpQLU The goal of the game is to essentially play Tetris with the rocks and get them above a certain point, but you’re going to be fighting cannons, meteors, and violent earthquakes while you attempt to do so. There are little buffs you can collect that will make your life a tiny bit easier, but I’ll say a tiny bit because there’s nothing easy about some of the later levels. I do want to say that I rarely give up on games out of frustration, but I *sucked* at level 8 so badly that I just had to move on. This isn’t normally my style of game to begin with, so I can’t penalize the game. The only thing I thought could be improved upon was the physics. The rocks act more like round balls sometimes than things with flat planes. A game with truly perfect physics would allow you to stack the stones in true rock-balancing style but don’t expect that from this one. I want to note that, despite my frustration with the physics, I can admit when I’m just bad at a game, and I feel like that’s the case with this one. Ducky and I had a few pretty good laughs at the fact that I just got flustered and lost any sense of coordination or…

Yikes! I've been sick all week and missed the release date for Stack Stones. It's awesome! I've been having a ball playing it and really impressed with how creative it is. I haven't had a chance to play multiplayer yet but that sounds super fun too. Stack Stones is a heck of a lot of fun. Really cool & unique concept - stacking the stones is challenging enough but while dodging floods & earthquakes & being shot at is gnarly. Cool powerups too!
