About Star Sky

A quiet night, the heavens above, and a tale waiting to be told.

Star Sky is a unique and personable experience. From the first moment that you step into the game, you become the narrator of a methodically slow-paced story you choose to weave with every step. Those who rush from start to finish will miss all the secrets and choices woven into the world: you must learn to be patient. Audio cues and blink-of-an-eye visuals will let you know when the magic is about to occur, be sure not to miss it!

From the mind and heart of Mårten Jonsson, Star Sky unfolds like a beautiful poem that tells a different saga every time. Dodging the traditional conventions of gameplay, Star Sky can instead be enjoyed through its ambiance, the atmospheric sensations, and the satisfaction that the player creates with each conclusion. You may not always understand, but remember that this game takes place in the restless night. All the constraints of the story are as limitless as the sky itself.

Goodnight, and may you find what you're seeking beneath the stars.

If you have difficulties in the walktrough, this guide will be very useful: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3561496240
♫ ɴᴏᴡ ᴘʟᴀʏɪɴɢ: Blank Space - Taylor Swift
'Star Sky' is a classic case of a game trying to look like a deep, "not for everyone" piece, while really being nothing in terms of gameplay and content. It pitches itself as a meditative adventure, but in reality, it's just a boring 2D walking simulator that gives you nothing but gloom. The visual style is questionable: against haphazardly drawn 3D backgrounds, all you see are completely black silhouettes of the hero, grass, and trees. Minimalism can be art, but here it just feels like a way to cover up a lack of detail. The whole gameplay boils down to moving right. You can't go back—you can only walk or speed up. The game has a few endings that you can unlock if you stop in certain spots and just wait. But there’s no logic to it — you have to figure out where to stand and what to wait for on your own, without any feedback from the game. It’s not a puzzle; it’s a patience test that doesn’t reward you with a good story or a meaningful lesson. And going through…

Another simple yet pretty little game to add to the collection. The ambience alone was perfect. -signed a happy Selenophile <3
