About Starship Corporation

✦ AI summary

Design every detail of your starship from engines to elevators, then manage its crew through real-time strategy missions to prove it can handle asteroid mining, piracy, trading, or combat across the galaxy. Build a spacefaring empire by choosing which technologies to develop, where to establish shipyards, and whether to pursue peaceful commerce or ruthless war profiteering across 99 different contracts.

Starship Corporation is a starship-building simulation game in which you must design and build spaceships for a hugely demanding galaxy-wide market. It is you who must decide which technologies to invest in first, where to open new shipyards and where to establish new markets.

Pick the right fuselage and design every little detail about the interior layout of your creations, from the location of the bridge, engines, generators and crew quarters to the position of each elevator, corridor and hatch. Your choices determine your ship’s efficiency, price and performance in deep space.

Gain an intergalactic reputation by training your crew in a series of real-time strategy missions, to simulate emergency or combat situations, and test your vessel’s capabilities to their limit, so that they are ready to face the dangers of outer space, whether clearing routes from asteroids, mining resources, hunting pirates or trading with far-away settlements.

Decide which star systems are the most profitable, and which business relationships are sustainable. The campaign lets you explore peaceful entrepeneurship as well as ruthless war profiteering.

FEATURES:

 • Sandbox Mode with access to all known human settlements in the galaxy, business opportunities for your ships in areas like transport, mining, route-maintenance, security, military and research and racing.

This game has the tag line "Develop, Design, Deal, Deliver". And boy, it has so much potential. I mean loads. Develop cool tech for you projects. Design the vessel that meets the customers needs, while allowing you to fund further efforts. Deal with the customer to make that profit. Deliver the ideal product. Simple concept. Sadly, after an awesome start the developer(s) seem to have canned it. Currently, I can't even get it to open. Many of my designs showed faults I could prove we not there. I followed on line guides, tutorials etc and still no joy. In the end I never really got into the meat of the game because I couldn't get so many things to work. The producers developed a great game concept. They designed a solid looking game around it. They closed the deal on Steam, and took my £££'s. But the game, in the end, did not deliver.

Abandoned and with several broken features. A shame, what with it having a lot of potential.

I sorted my library by low review scores and this is near the top. So bad. I remember I wrote a review for this and someone left a bunch of comments criticizing my points.

This game can be undoubtedly fun. Plenty of customisation options and countless ships to design and build. The operative word, however, is can. In the current state the game is in, it's a buggy unreliable, and frustrating mess. Unfortunately, it is likely to remain that way. Pick it up if it's on sale, otherwise it's not worth it.

You'll end up bored within the first hour or less. The only interesting thing about the game is the designing of the Starships. The management aspect is lacking and uninteresting.
