About Space Sim Tycoon
Spaceship Tycoon game set in the wild west of space. A trading, crafting, and business simulation in space. Build up colonies and set up new mining ventures to extract foreign untapped resources from many celestial bodies. A sandbox game that is procedurally generated with a seed. The player sets up space stations, factories, mining operations, and is also responsible for the transportation of goods and commodities. Explore different planets, suns, and blackholes. Boot into game. First thing I am greeted with, for a FULL RELEASE. "Future things to be added, such as campaign missions... etc etc". Not a good sign. Load into Tutorial. Tutorial doesn't progress through camera movement. Reload tutorial 3 times, until it finally registers the first stage of tutorial passing. Oh boy..... This feels like someone trying to make Transport Tycoon, in a 3 dimensional space, with the most horrendous UI and item placement system ever. Things are placed from the camera outward. Camera moves in X Y Z directions only. You cannot move the camera where you are 'looking'. To place things, you have to "Scroll wheel" to the right 'height' then move along the X and Z axis until you are close enough to a planet to place something on it. You cannot just look towards the planet and effectively fly your camera there. Things in space are placed on the same principal, with the items lining up to the 'height' you are at, and starting out super close to the camera. Ok, getting very annoyed at basic building mechanics. Next, let's create a 'line', or rather, a path station to station. At this time I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone. there are no instructions on how to play the game except the tutorial, which only says to press the w,a,s,d,q and e keys and the tutorial ends after that.9 found this helpful
Playing Space Sim Tycoon was a lot of fun for me. I think the resource management and economic system are very well done. Sending ships on missions and gradually expanding my own station really hooked me on the game. There are some minor bugs in the game right now, but I'm sure the developers will fix them as quickly as they can. Overall, it's a game with a lot of potential. If you like space-themed management games, I definitely recommend it.8 found this helpful
Alright I tried the game for a couple of hours and although the controls took a bit to get used to , once you get used to it is great. The graphics are beautiful and gameplay is relaxing with awesome music. Setting up everything is a little time consuming but so nice to watch everything roll in!4 found this helpful
