I just wanted to make a quick comment that this game does STILL work. I just tested it out on the Meta Quest 3 using Virtual Desktop and it played perfectly fine. I didn't get a black screen as reported by others. Also, I did the tutorial and it seems that there is more depth to this game than other games of this type. You're actually upgrading your station and physically putting it together. You don't just mix drinks, you get the ingredients ready via several means (example: you'll put the fruit in a device like a blender). You'll also clean up the glasses. However, I don't really want to play past the tutorial as this isn't my type of jam. First of all, it's meant to be played room-scale. Sure, you can technically play seated, but it'll be a hassle. Teleport only. Snap turn only. That's enough for me not to way to play more. It does have music and it does have voice overs. Not sure what some of the negative reviewers were smoking. I just wanted to put correct information out there. It's $1.49 USD right now on sale. I'd say it's worth it if you're into this type of game.

Unfortunately I can't say I recommend this game. The developers have made some pretty egregious design oversights which make the game an unenjoyable experience. 1. The fixed update rate for objects is significantly lower than HMD refresh rates. Your hands and objects in the world only update at 60hz, while your head movement and actual game framerate is 120hz (valve index). This results in your hands and everything you interact with feeling like a jittery, laggy mess. This is frankly an unacceptable oversight for a VR game, and it makes the entire experience feel cheap. You can correct this, as I did on my copy by injecting a script which forces these updates in Unity engine to actually match the games framerate, but that is unacceptable for having purchased this at full price. The fact that this was shipped makes me wonder if the devs even noticed this, or that they thought it wasn't a big deal, and honestly I can't tell which is worse. 2. The object interactivity is very bad. There are no haptics when pressing buttons, grabbing objects, bumping items, at least on my index. Grabbing objects in this game is also a real pain. Ordinarily, in quality VR titles, when you grab an obje…

Startenders: Intergalactic Bartending, developed by Foggy Box Games and published by Yogscast Games, is a vibrant VR simulation that transforms bartending into a fast-paced, interstellar performance. Rather than striving for realism, the game embraces absurdity and charm, placing players in the role of an unwilling recruit at the Startenders Academy, where crafting alien beverages becomes both your training regimen and your path to freedom. The result is a dynamic blend of time management, physical interaction, and light narrative progression wrapped in a colorful sci-fi package. At its core, Startenders thrives on tactile immersion. As a VR-focused title, it fully commits to physical interaction—players chop extraterrestrial fruits, pour glowing liquids, shake strange concoctions, freeze ingredients with futuristic devices, and combine elements in increasingly complex sequences. Orders appear visually above customers, and while the interface remains clear and readable, the challenge lies in multitasking. As the pace intensifies, juggling multiple drink recipes while managing equipment cooldowns and machine placements becomes a satisfying test of coordination. Unlike many simplist…
