Stella's Spikey Dream

Stella's Spikey Dream is a lazy 2D retro/MS-Paint platformer slapped together with Unity. It's a "Rage" platformer that means the gameplay is intentionally difficult, this is favoured by indie/amateur developers because it means they don't need to make a lot of game levels or focus too hard on story/plot/content. Resolution and controls are locked, there's no way to improve the lazy MS-Paint visuals or the average control scheme, but at least the game generally "works". This is mostly just a low effort spiritual rip-off of Super Meat Boy or I Wanna Be The Guy, only not as good. There's too many flaws and deficiencies here for this to be recommendable to serious PC gamers. The game is completely free. Nothing speaks more to a developers belief in themselves and their product than making their game available for everyone without remuneration. This is certainly a gesture that shows dedication to the gaming industry. It's a shame in this case that the implementation is below the minimum standards a dedicated PC game should offer to enthusiasts. A hard rage game to be sure! But there's a lot potential here that I recommended to anyone who loves platformers. Just be aware that you can infinite space bar jump on a wall; you'll need it for the final level :)
