For those that wish for a slower experience, you can always enter a relaxed, enemy-free, gathering mode to prepare for your next adventure.

i get to suck trees2 found this helpful
I had a daily quest that I could not complete because the trees did not drop enough essence even after I sucked them all off. Defeating neither bosses nor enemies seems to drop essence. Unpolished game, not worth your time. Go suck trees somewhere else.
