A Game´s Tale

Real nice try on the genre. Its refreshing that you can use the mobs you defeat as your own heroes. Aside from that it is so buggy that it destroys the playing experience. Maybe my 5 year old gaming pc (AMD Ryzen 3 with 16GB RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti) is the reason but testing on lower end machines should be mandatory for any game. Things I encountered in the first hour: - The audio of the first npc didnt stop, so this audio interrupted the audio of the second npc. - You can run past the first npc and you are basically off the map without knowing it. - Tthe deck screen (where you choose the characters for the turnbased part) can only be closed by pressing "c". no hint, no "X" in a corner I restarted the game 3 times before I was able to figure it out. - After you have filled in the character pictures I dont know what I have to do that the characters really spawn on the map. - I could start a fight with one character still blank. A place holder was in character spot that could only press end turn. The enemy melees didnt attack my last ranged character so I was still able to win the map. - You dont know where the characters will spawn. I dont see the connection b…

Overall the game can be described as "unusual", but i like it. The switch between playing your character through a journey with 3rd person view to tactical battles with the units of your deck in bird view is fun. I also like the sound design, which adapts to every changing game situation. There are some minor bugs, but that's ok for me. The game just got released a short time ago.

In my opinion, this game is very lovingly designed and has a very interesting approach to the game. Therefore, I would definitely recommend buying it :)

There could be done some fixes but all in all a solid Game. I enjoyed playing it.
