its a clicker game... that's mostly what you can say about it again another one of those weird market games that have become standard for bs now a days as a gamer: its a clicker game... it is what it is as achievement hunter: open game click once close game honestly these games are getting ridiculous there's too many im pretty much copy pasting this review cause thats all i have to say about them to make myself clear i don't dislike clicker games i dislike clicker games that have nothing to them but to click or ones that's purpose is just to fill my steam inventory with undeleteable garbage

Strawberry is another disgusting clicker scam game like "banana". Effectively a blockchain/NFT game, but abusing the Steam Marketplace instead of some other blockchain/wallet system... the end result is the same, this isn't a real game, it's just dumped on Steam to scam PC gamers through the Steam Marketplace. It has no value as a serious game, you just click stuff in the hopes an "NFT" marketplace item drops so the developer can get paid for the sale... and of course so the developer can sell ones that he's farmed up himself. So while this looks "free", it's only superficial. The real purpose for this game is for the developer to farm and exploit Steam Inventory items that drop through the game. They can then sell these items in bulk on the Steam Community Marketplace. This kind of Steam abuse, combined with a minimum-viable-product non-game, does no service to gamers whatsoever. This is pollution... it's harmful to everyone. It hurts genuine indie devs, who have to compete with this pollution to get visibility for their sincerely made games. It makes indie devs look bad. Strawberry is about as simple as a clicker game can get, but I actually found the absurdly straightforward idea pretty relaxing. I am basically sitting there clicking a giant strawberry over and over again to build up my collection. It sounds almost too basic to be a game, but there is something weirdly satisfying about watching that number climb while I gradually work toward the next little goal. The main mechanic is literally clicking the strawberry, and the game does a good job of making every click feel responsive. There is also an idle element because strawberries can appear over time even when I am not constantly clicking. I liked having that small extra reason to leave the game running and come back later. It gives the experience a little more of a passive progression loop instead of making everything depend entirely on how quickly I can mash the button. There is also a simple economy built around what I collect. I can accumulate strawberries and use the game's progression systems to keep increasing what I have.
