Strayed Lights

A case where the developers' ambitions outpaced the capabilities of the game engine. I was hard-pressed to find a performance balance that I could satisfactorily maintain. Still, I got it on sale for a song, and it was well worth the short-lived time I spent playing it. It can be completed in two or three play sessions. The soundtrack is quite good, too. I recommend playing it on Easy and enjoying the wordless narrative since the parrying mechanic gets old quickly.

This game is not very long BUT it was an interesting game to play. The game is solely based on parries and counters with fast paced combat and quick hand eye coordination. With the starting hard difficulty adding more non-parry able attacks with faster changing of colors to parry, the game is good for what it is. There is NO dialog in this title, which makes it hard to follow and find where you need to go BUT again being a small and linear game makes it a bit challenging. I started on the harder of the difficulty settings to find it much more challenging than enjoyable, but setting it down one difficulty to normal found it a bit too easy. All and all I would give it this Gameplay - 5/10 Fighting - very unique 7/10 Story - 2/10 Concept - 5/10 length for the game it is - 10/10 Not a bad game but not for everyone for sure.

Fun little game, I'd recommend it! Best parts are the simple and fun parry combat + interesting bosses combined with great art For me, the normal difficulty was much too easy, but the expert was too hard to start out. Combat was still fun, although not as rewarding as it could have been since I played mainly on normal

I love the part where it completely freezes up my pc. Also, good job with the combat. It's super responsive. /s kek lol Utter garbage.
