Street Karate is a game that revives the old school 2D street fighting style.

Street Karate is a side-scrolling arcade beat'em'up style fighting game where you fight waves of enemies using "Street Karate", in the rough spirit of Vendetta and Double Dragon. The graphics here are completely and utterly terrible. They're better than retro pixel graphics but that's not saying much. Combat is mashing a single button and jumping, no real combos. Enemies are very samey and just look awful, the art style is just too bad for me to properly describe. Also, 4:3 aspect ratio for a game released in 2018... this is just garbage beneath most shovelware. An important note: Falco Software are known asset flippers and have previously taken other developers work and put it on Steam in an attempt to scam gamers into buying asset flips. An example of Falco Software doing this is Old Factory, which is really "[url=https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/templates/systems/realistic-fps-prefab-7739]Realistic FPS PreFab[/url]", written by the actual developers, Azuline Studios. This game is a hidden gem, reviving the 90's fighting games genre. A friend of mine bought this for me, and I was skeptical, after all it seems pretty low budget. However the game improves significantly as you go, the graphics, the abilities and the tech tree all all improve, as it start to introduce one high level programming mechanic after the other. After an extremely difficult boss encounter i suddenly found myself in an open world. I was rather confused at first, but as I ventured forth into this unknown world, the cut-scene that followed explained quite a bit, not only about the world but the story as well. It was so mind-blowing to me that I had to take a moment and really appreciate the dedication and talent of the story writing. Obviously I won't spoil anything, it has to be experienced. It was around this time that I realized that the installation files was below 50MB, and so I did some digging and found that it was just a client installation. And as I tabbed into the game again, I found that I had been killed by a paraplegic goblin.
