ANIME Street Fight

For $1.99 there is some fun to have here, You play as a anime girl in this beat em up style game. The stages and the enemy mobs are nothing special....the stages are very similar and so are the enemies but regardless for a indie game that is under 2 bucks it still fun. You can jump, kick, block and punch along with picking up weapons (knife, gun, baseball bat) to defeat the enemies. You may find bananas throughout the stage to restore your health. After beating a certain amount of stages you will unlock the other two characters ( two other anime girls with different stats and appearances). The final anime girl you unlock is super op. Def worth a try for some quick fun.

For a game called Anime Street Fight I was expecting something functional with a bit of fun in there. Unfortunately this game frustrated me massively, free random assets just thrown together and incredibly boring gameplay. This type of games really upset me because it gives indie developers who are really trying to make a solid game a bad name. This game is pretty.... pretty horrible. Basic button remapping is impossible for the main attack keys, but there is a way to set misc keys like use item or crouch... but those don't seem to work (pressing the crouch or run key does no action). What's more, there's a big anime girl blocking the options screen so I can't even see what I'm mapping or what settings I'm changing. The mouse arrow disappears sometimes and makes menu navigation difficult. The game itself is a snoozefest. Weapons work for two or three hits, the sound effects are extremely basic, the baddies are repetitive, and there are no special moves. It's just punch, kick, and jump-kick. No neat combos, nothing. It has potential, but it seems like an unfinished game, so I cannot recommend it.
