About STRIDE: Fates

Enhancing everything players love about the freerunning nature of STRIDE, the full-fledged sequel 'Fates' pushes the parkour action formula even further with new story-oriented gameplay.

MEET YOUR FATE

Raised in the slums of dystopian Airon City, at the very bottom of food chain, you got a golden ticket out.

To survive and climb the ladder in elite police forces of SkyChase, you will have to deal with power shifts in gangs, dirty family feuds, corporate secrets, forbidden tech and much more.

Your fate is bound with other motley characters in this story. Will you accept the destiny or fight against it?

FEEL LIKE A PARKOUR SPEC-OPS OFFICER

◉ Climb buildings, vault through windows, and slide down cables with lightning speed.
◉ Explore major locations under the watch of snipers and drones.
◉ Engage in tactical close-quarters combat.
◉ Use your gadgets and hacking skills to outwit thugs and corporates.

From dirty slums to affluent skyscrapers, you will visit many places to enjoy the view and challenge your reflexes in action-packed gameplay.

TECHNOLOGICAL LEAP

Reworked STRIDE Engine now offers advanced levels of graphics, physics and interactivity on PCVR. We refined every aspect of the original STRIDE: shooting and weapons, enemy variety and their AI… the list goes on and on.

When you run, fight, interact with characters or solve puzzles, you will feel a major leap in technology.

ENTRY POINT INTO THE STRIDE UNIVERSE

‘Fates’ is a separate game that offers a smooth entry and deep gameplay mechanics to keep you hooked until the end-credits and beyond.

It is newcomer-friendly and doesn’t require your skills or knowledge from the original game. STRIDE: Fates is a great fit for everyone from narrative lovers to fitness enthusiasts.

Are you ready to step into the shoes of a parkour spec-ops officer?

Everything about the game just feels a little bit off.

Do not play A1 and A2 side missions, avoid at all cost. Play A3 Concrete Jungle instead which is the best mission in the game and the campaign.

Do not let the 2h play time fool you, I played the game through Virtual Desktop. So what can I say about this game... it tries to be something grand, but fails amazingly short. Store page screen shots and vide are not even CLOSE to what the game atctually looks like and I had high settings in the game. Sure it embelishes but everything is actually VERY flat. Then the technical issues, which are plenty. Checkpoints are on edges of ledges, so if you move when you still have a loading screen (its the splash screen of the game, just overlayed even if the game is loaded), you will fall of the ledge when you finally "load in". Grabs/interactions are some of the most inconsistent I have experienced in any VR game. I am pointing directly at an item 1m away from me and I cannot grab it, but I can grab a thing from 10m away no problem. Also the grabs/climbing holds are very inconsistent and the game often grabs a hold of things that are beyond of what I am actually touching and what is right on my hand. The slow time effect is horribly short, only lasts for 2-3 seconds. UI is ugly as all hell. Looks like some early 2010 mobile game. And the biggest thing of all that made me want to ca…
