Strip Combo
A powerful and deadly special move that requires STRIP gauge to activate.
Execute by pressing ↓→↓→ + Attack button.
Has three levels of strength, with the most powerful version costing the most energy to use.
Use weak attack to activate level 1, medium attack for level 2, and strong attack to activate the level 3 strip combo.
Strip Rush
Activate with X+A+B(R) and requires one bar of RUSH gauge to activate.
For a limited time, all your attacks become cancelable.
Your RUSH gauge fills slowly over time, increases every time you take damage, and resets after each round.
The more filled your gauge is, the longer the effect and the initial activation time-stop will last.

Before you read this review, I want to make two things clear; I am hesitant to recommend this game, and I am ignoring the sexual content of the game. Now for my full thoughts. Strip Fighter Zero is a good looking game that plays well. I bought it back when it first released on DLSite in summer 2022 and bought it a second time on Steam, have cleared arcade mode with every character, and spent a good amount of time in the training mode. SF0 definitely has some things going for it. It's a rare 2D sprite fighter in 2023, and while some of the animations are a bit clunky the game overall looks great. I wish more games looked like this these days but I understand the switch to 3D. The gameplay itself is also pretty good. While it can feel a little clunky at times, buttons come out when you want, special inputs feel right, hitboxes make sense, and combos come naturally, such as repeated jabs into DP or stand medium into crouching medium into special. There's a good amount of complexity too between the Super Meter and Rush Meter. Cons: - It's very, very low res - Crashed on me when trying to use full screen. Then would crash every time I started a match until I deleted the game.ini file in the game directory - All the configuration menus should be in Japanese, but they appear as question marks. So there's no way to tell what setting you're changing. Same with the ini file contents, there's Japanese in there too. (Standard Win 11 Pro install) - There is no nudity or partial nudity. For a game called "Strip Fighter", it's completely tame. - Special moves seem difficult to pull off reliably, especially the big moves. - The training mode is useless, requires 2 joysticks to even use it. - Scan lines are ugly. - Characters are not that interesting, and there are not many of them. - Game is easy until you beat it the first time. Then it's super hard. No way to manually set the difficulty. - No characters to unlock. - The end of the game is a complete and total cop-out. You win, but you still die, and then the game restarts. Pros + Buttons like an SNK fighter, graphics and specials like a Capcom fighter. + I like SF2 Zero, and this game takes a lot from that particular game. That's it really.
