Very fun anomaly game, exactly what you would expect. The atmosphere, lighting, and mood are all very well done, but I think the overall ambience is the most striking. 10/10 game, worth the $5.2 found this helpful
A well done smaller anomaly game. The atmosphere is definitely there and there's a good mix of really obvious and really obscure anomalies so make sure to pay attention to every little detail ! On top of that some of the anomalies can be really creepy , as you would expect from a horror game. I liked that the game is fair enough to tell you what you missed (in unvoiced subtitles) if you fail to notice something different. You can also access a notebook from the pause menu to see which anomalies you found and how many you have left to discover. You can also interact with some of the anomalies , which might change something in the rooms. Also a little hint without revealing too much : If you find some special anomalies again on another run, try something different than what you did last time. The game also features different endings. The price is cheap enough so give it a try if you're interested !1 found this helpful
Very fun game! Plays just like an anomaly game would, very creepy and cool. 10/10 would recommend!!1 found this helpful
I play a lot of horror and anomaly-hunting games. Some of them are genuinely great, others are mediocre, and some are simply a waste of time and money. Unfortunately, Study Time Anomaly falls closer to that last category. The anomalies are few, uninspired, and ultimately forgettable. The scare moments feel forced rather than effective, and the game never really manages to build real tension. There are also one or two puzzles, but they’re so simple that they barely qualify as puzzles. It’s not the worst game I’ve ever played — not even close. But right now, there are far better anomaly-hunting games out there competing for your time and attention. Video: https://youtu.be/gPJmDmUIaoo
Saw a ton of links talking about what people had seen, and that pushed me into checking this game out. Not being familiar with this type of game it took me a bit to understand that I needed to watch everything. After noticing a few odd elements I checked the notebook and then I was hooked trying to find everything!
It's a fun little ride. I enjoyed discovering the different anomalies and appreciate the interactivity some of them provide. The perfect run reward is a nice touch as well. A couple of suggestions for improvement: - The gamepad and mouse control options seem to be linked. For example, inverting Y in mouse options resulted in inverted gamepad look and vice versa. - This is subjective and may have been the creator's decision but I would have liked the hallway to have some form of soft ambience. Besides the footsteps and the occasional sound effect, the map was completely silent, which interfered with the immersion a little bit. Overall, a nice bite-sized experience!
