About Sub Terra

Sub Terra is a single-player first person psychological horror game inspired by The Backrooms. As a maintenance worker, you've spent your whole life venturing deep underground to repair pipes, gas lines, you name it. Utilities that we take for granted. On a day like any other, you enter the manhole and descend the depths to replace a water line at the end of tunnel 04-R. The job is straightforward. The directions are clear. But your repair doesn't go quite as planned.
  • Immersive Experience: Realistic graphics and spatialized audio create a truly immersive experience guaranteed to make you feel like you're really 50 feet under.
  • Unravel a Mystery: Piece together hints and clues to learn the tragic story of what's been buried underground.
  • Keep an Eye Out: You know the tunnels like the back of your hand, but you're not the only thing down there.
  • Locations: Your job may be down a manhole, but you'll discover much more than just maintenance tunnels.
Warning: Sub Terra contains loud noises, flashing lights and material that may be disturbing to some individuals.

Enjoyed that seeing as it was the developers first game. I hit 1 bug which killed me...it was my fault to be honest LOL....at one stage the monster was just sitting there doing nothing, not moving...so i walked from a distance to get a closer look....the moinsters head was stuck in the wall....so i figured ohh a bug now i can finish in peace and quiet....so i went in for a closer look to see if ireally was stuck due to a bug....DAMN it took its out the wall and got me and kileld me... took me 3 attempts to find the hammer while being cchased and make it to the lift... :) Nice free horror game enjoyed it. The game of cat and mouse in the winding tunnels was interesting. Why wasnt this game able to be full screen though? In settings on main menu you can select full screen, window full screen but makes no difference, you still end up with black bars either side. I think maybe this was the developers intention for the black bars to add to the effect to make it look retro...maybe? No isuses all good. The horror parts were good especially when returning to the house with the creepy statues and crosses. I liked it. Tense and scary for me. 7/10. The task at hand was prett…

not bad for a first game. The loading times are decent, this game does need to be more optimized as I did experience lag in some areas. short game, subpar story line, sadly there's no mystery in this game and it mostly will show all of its plotline very obviously.

Sub Terra is worth a playthrough since it is free. It's what you would call a micro horror game - only about 30 minutes of gameplay. For being the developer's first game, I think they did a good job. In particular, the chapter that is brighter and has more color than the other chapters I loved... wish I could live there. There are a couple decent jump scares and spooky moments. Objectively though it's just okay, probably like a 6 out of 10.
