Suit for Hire

A crazy fun game that's pretty close to being a John Wick simulator. I played in third person, and found it really enjoyable. You have a surprising amount of moves in your tool kit; you can dive jump, you can melee, you can grab enemies and use them as a shield, you can shoot them and steal their weapons. It all comes together in the combat sandbox to create a game with a frantic pace, and replaying stuff to unlock cosmetics and attain a high score is great fun, especially once you've unlocked the dual wielding pistols for your primary. There isn't a whole lot in the way of story, just some flavor text for each level, but the game does a good job of mixing things up with locations and set pieces. You'll blast your way through a variety of buildings, and sometimes you'll have to hold out in an arena for several enemy waves, like a late one that takes place in a multi level dance club. The aesthetic is pretty simple too, but it's easy to tell at a glance what each enemy does and all of their tells are forgiving and easy to read, which is what you want with a fast paced game like this. Overall it's a ton of fun. Would love to see more levels.

An excellent title, however, there needs to be clearer objectives, i wandered around a factory for way too long because i didn't know where i was supposed to go. It's intensely frustrating and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game design in an otherwise stellar title.

Very enjoyable gun-fu simulator, similar gameplay to Hotline Miami, Superhot or Anger Foot. There is no story and it's just killing goons non-stop, which I appreciate given its a good game to play for 20 minutes and come back to it later. The mechanics of the game are spot-on, but the consistency and quality of the levels could be improved. The levels don't always flow as well as they should for the game mechanics, Sometimes it's not obvious where you should go next. It also feels like the first couple of chapters are fully fleshed out but the rest isn't, particularly the baffling Carribean target practice levels, which should probably serve as a tutorial or beginner level. I would still fully recommend this game, I particularly like the homages to CS and Superhot. I beat the game in about 6 hours, but your mileage might vary if you want to get S rankings across all the levels.
