Quite entertaining NES style platformer with great sound effects.
Buy this game on SALE or The Developers should make a price drop...I can't recommend this otherwise and I'm a very forgiving and staunch Metroidvania zealot. It's time to stop giving Metroidvanias a pass for the cultures sake and nothing more. The games save points are few and and far between to add to the playtime, I personally believe that quick saves shouldn't exist in a Metroidvania to add to the tension but the journey between those save points shouldn't be so cheap and unbearable you roll your eyes because the only reason you die has less to do with your patience and skill and more to do with battles of attrition with little to no variety. What I'm trying to say is you have to cheapen your strategy to proceed and it's not fun at all, lets say, you enter a new area and to advance you have to descend, you spot two annoying enemies in the new area, you die midway, upgrades gone. So you work your way back, you try to engage the enemy type one at a time to avoid cheap shots from other enemies. You get to the end of that area, maybe grab an upgrade or two...no way to save. You enter the other adjacent new area, you see a new enemy...no save point in sight and there's a respawn…
[EN] Overall, the game isn't bad at all, but I find that the mechanics of having to grind/farm xp to get skills/upgrades makes the game really boring... Globally movement aren't too bad, just a little problem for some obscure reason when you want to jump up to reach a higher platform, you sometimes go down instead I don't really understand how this is possible.... Since I can't grant a neutral review, I'd rather write a positive one.
Controls are too finicky. I end up accidentally jumping down through platform when i want to jump all the time. THis doesn't help that game want to more a a precision based game
Precious little gem! Very solid mini-metroidvania game, especially at discount price. Charming 8-Bit graphics with really good cutscenes, good gameplay all around and great music and atmosphere. Too bad it's so short. I want some more!
Very short, but solid Metroidvania game. Honestly, kinda wish this game was longer because it feels fairly balanced. The odd part in this though, is that the powerup abilities you obtained from bosses, can be bought in the store. So if you already have it, it wont make much difference nor will it be upgraded. I assume this is meant to play fair for those thats unable to beat the bosses. Giving you options if you ever have a hard time with this game. This game has shown to be VERY fair too with its abilities so casual players are welcome. The game is very simple, beat the 4 bosses and you win. Thats it. Very good game overall, would wish it was longer. Get it if you want a short game to beat.
