The 2020 election was something else in the beginning, and a large part of that was/ is the divisiveness of American politics. While I wouldn't claim that games "shouldn't be political"; a lot of the humor and mild amusement from this game is just political commentary akin to something like The Daily Show or The Colbert Report. That is to say that a lot of the fun or novelty of this game is just references to the political climate at the time. As time goes on, it will age poorer and poorer, but it at least functions as a novelty of how the election felt during 2020. As for the game itself, it's pretty much inoffensive with labeling a lot of republicans and imagery of 2016 to 2020 GOP to little more than enemies that you dodge or some statements that go against Bernie's political message. The game does play akin to a parody of Super Mario Bros. , considering the imagery and style. It has some cute differences like collecting votes, riding campaign buses, and power ups, but not much else going for it. Honestly, just a straight and simple platformer that gets mildly challenging in it's later worlds. Overall, it's just a decent and novel game that doesn't really do anything bad …
Jokes aside, this is actually a pretty fun game to speedrun.
