Super Geisha Neon is yet another of literally thousands of 2D retro pixel platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. This console ported game is a puzzle platformer with a gimmick, you control two characters, the titular Geisha who doesn't want to marry the Shogun, and a mouse/rat who will help you escape. Pressing space switches between characters. The mouse is small enough to pass through obstacles the Geisha can't and so on. That's all there is to it, and the gimmick doesn't add anything to the tired, dead 2D pixel platformer genre that would be of value to gamers. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. It's very similar to Huge Pixel's other puzzle platformer 'More Dark'. In fact, it looked so similar that I just had to pick it up because I had really enjoyed playing 'More Dark'. And this game is just as good.

Cool platformer.

A cheap and fun puzzle platformer. It's not hard at all, but expect 3 or 4 levels to make you go "oh, I did that in the wrong order". 7/10, good for what it is, left me wanting more. Also, easy 100%.
