Super Grappling Gecko

Super grappling gecko is a really short grappling platformer with a few hidden collectible to find. It took me 14 min to finish the game on my first playthrough, missing 2 collectible which were behind pass-through wall. Then getting the rest of the achievement took 38 min, which include one playthrough with all collectable, one playthrough without dying once and dying 100 time in one save, which was a bit annoying, since i'd hoped the total number of death would have counted from previous playthough. The momentum is fun, and i'd recommend it if you want a light challenge, but probably not if you are looking for something harder

Basically a precise landing game requires good coordination of both hands and can finish in half an hour. Player controls a gecko using a gripping tool to swing pass gaps and reach new places. Several essential things to make a successful jump are: Jump speed, jump time, jump height, time to use and to release the gripping tool. Not sure whether devs did it on purpose but when you swing after the lowest the speed becomes a bit faster, so release early if the ceiling has spikes. It is not a very difficult nor a punishing game because the respawn point is usually close, but I still got mad at myself (lol). There are collectibles along the way, with no practical use other than nice statistics. I just have one question: why make a gecko with a gripping tool rather than a chameleon using its tongue? Nonetheless a fun and cute little game. I recommend this game, it has replay value for those who aim for 100% collectables. Game's only about 30 minutes (non-completionist route). What's here is pretty good but man, I was hoping for a couple hours at least. Updooting anyway cuz I mean, on sale it's dirt cheap and a quick little romp.

Very short, like itch.io game jam tier, even the like $1.50 I paid for it I'd say is a bit much, but it has some achievements to replay for at least. The wall jumping has that sticky laggy feel like many indie platformers. The grappling is very fast and unwieldy, but once you get it down it actually feels pretty good to fly through the levels with it like you're breaking the game.

Great game!! Very fun, love the mobility mechanics, super cute, and the music building with progress is so good!!!

A bit short, but more than good enough for the price.
