Not the worst one I played of this genre but there are still better ones on steam.10 found this helpful
The color scheme is disgusting, and the game itself is not very good.3 found this helpful
Now I scream at mosquitoes in winter and vacuum like a warrior thanks to this masterpiece of pure chaos and joy
So bad
Whilst this game attempts to blend vertical SHMUP action with a mathematic equations, the end result is a disjointed and poorly executed experience. The visual style is OK at best, whilst I love old and retro style games, but when jarring assets clash with the gameplay and are hindered by a locked 640x480 resolution, it is simply bad. The entire game consists of only 6 levels that can be finished in roughly 30 minutes, with bosses heavily reused just to pad the runtime. Solving falling math problems to power up your ship feels like an entirely separate entity from the shooting mechanics; whilst I emphasize the thought and the idea, however the two halves rarely feel integrated or necessary to one another, in my opinion. The OST feels like a separate MP3 played over the game rather than a dynamic score that connects with the on-screen action, and/or motivates you to feel like you are in an action. In the end, Super Killer Hornet: Resurrection feels like a brief browser game stretched thin into a retail product, and it is difficult for me to recommend it to anyone.
