About Kestrel
Kestrel is a top-down shoot'em up where you travel through cosmic worlds collecting shards to upgrade your weapons and abilities while battling hostile entities. Unlike typical bullet hell games, it ditches forced auto-scrolling in favor of patient, strategic gameplay backed by over 50 upgrades and infinite lives to keep you progressing.
As Kestrel, you will travel through different worlds in an attempt to reach the highest order of the cosmos. You will fend off the many entities trying to stop you. Collect the rhombic shards spread across the different worlds to purchase upgrades and equip more powerful weapons.
In a departure from the typical shoot'em up, Kestrel does not force the auto-scroll mechanic that is present in the majority of the genre. Patience and strategy win out over speed and brute force.
With over 50 upgrades and infinite lives, Kestrel puts you in a position for success. A top down shoot'em up with bullet hell and RPG elements, Kestrel attempts to scratch an itch that you might know you have. Fly, shoot, die, upgrade, repeat.

Kestrel is a game about shooting your way through various ecologically-themed levels. From dodging projectiles to maneuvering your way through tight corridors, it's all fun! Especially once you're able to acquire the higher tiered shots and vessel upgrades. Each and every boss is a unique experience and OOZES creativity and flair.
