Super Mr. Kake

I wanted to enjoy this game. And while I did a little bit, I can't really reccomend it. First, I'm going to start with my favorite thing: the animations. While it didn't remind me of Ren And Stimpy, it instead reminded me of Rocko's Modern Life, which is still a really good thing. And while some of people's complaints is the control scheme is bad, I thought it was okay. The thing that was disappointing was the gameplay. The first level, with the weird cockroach guy, was really hard. However, I was just barely able to graze through it normally, so I did a bit of spamming. After that, I couldn't get past the skeleton guy. Last thing is the price. I would've gotten this for maybe half of it's price, but I thought $5 was a little much for this. Overall, unless you can master the intensity of the game and you've played enough arcade fighters, I can't recommend it. For what seems to be Five Entertainment's first game, this is a disappointing start, but I wish them well on any future endeavors. 4/10 Also, controller support would've been nice.

Oh god it's bad, it's so bad. I love the cartoon style of ren and stimpy and thought it was going to be fun because of it, and i was expecting something similar to punch out, but the controls are absolutely horrendous. You can get past the cockroach but once you get to the skeleton, that's as much as you'll see from this game. You'd be better off playing something else. Note: Luckily i got this on sale for under a dollar, which at most is what i would pay for. But even then, when on sale, I still wouldn't recommend it

Super Mr. Kake is some very low quality shovelware from the shovelware pushers at Back to Basics gaming, famous for the disgusting and misogynist "Feminazi" joke game. These tone deaf developers have this time dumped a "fighting" game that attempts to be a ripoff of Ren & Stimpy (and stealing other people's ideas is always a hallmark of quality shovelware). But what you really get is an atrociously dumbed down, glorified Flash(esque) reflexes/QTE game where you press the button at the right time to pretend you're fighting some badly drawn cartoon. I got prompted to "Press Start" so I had a look around my keyboard and as I suspected, there's no "Start" key, which is a bit weird. Maybe the developers think we're console peasants. That's adding insult to injury, but then this is Back to Basics who seem hell bent on making gaming worse for everyone, and Super Mr. Kake is a fine example of how they go about this goal. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
