A lovely story, with cute art and good voice acting. The voices in particular are just fun to listen to. Gameplay is decent, but it's a small budget indie game so don't expect amazingness. It's fun to collect creatures and tell them how to perform, though i also just enjoyed going solo. The story is what kept me going forward, and i enjoyed it until the very end. Thank you for making this game!

To preface this, for awhile now I had an inch to find an ARPG that reminded me of Curse of Darkness without just pulling out the PS2 and playing Curse of Darkness. This game is the closest I've gotten to scratching that itch but I've got a few issues. Creature leveling is pretty... slow. Experience is awarded based on actions creatures take but in every single case you have to aggressively "game" the system by just watching them slowly beat things to death (if they even have an attack). If they don't have an attack you're stuck getting in combat potentially using a monster who is effectively immortal and making dinner while they slowly grind their experience up enough to learn an offensive move. There is, as far as I could see anyways, absolutely no reasonable way to increase experience share. Creature customization is likewise limited. There's no determinism or even reaching predictive foresight, you roll the dice to see what flavor of 10 (but really 5) passives the monster will even see are. The system is novel as a concept, but limiting in execution. Want a particular combo? You're not getting it. Character actions are pretty limited. If you want the high-rise-like jumping a…

This 3d remake is much better than the 2D original, while the combat is still janky it's overall much more enjoyable and the inventory system is improved significantly. I appreciate the additional story cutscenes since they flesh out the two female characters a bit more. All that being said, get it when on discount.

Like Anime, Third-Person, Souls-like, Platformers, Creature-collectors and Rogue-like. I don't know of any other game that does all this at once. Other Souls-like Rogue-like games like OmniFootMan and so on are bland and don't have any unique features. This game however has unique art and summons mechanic which makes it worth it. Liked what I played in my short play session. Though the summons system can be polished. Like better pathfinding. For example, flying summons don't know that you have to come down to go through gate. But it's still a good game because it's unique and not bland generic game. I don't know what the devs did wrong with marketting that this has so few reviews. Underrated Gem. Edit: It seems the devs went bankrupt. A shame.
