Combat is based around 6 different classes you can level up independently by simply using the different weapons tied to them. Dual wield any weapons you like and mix and match your gear to fine tune your playstyle. Become a splash potion-slinging rogue, a necromancer warrior, or even a bardic healer. Dig through piles of dirt to discover bait for fishing, seeds for planting or magic cubes for donating to evil cults. *Update after almost 70 hours in-game* I can't stop playing SnM&S and that is really a good thing in my book. You can spend hours just working on a single skill if you want to, and even though I think I am reaching the latter part of the current content, I still have a ton of stuff I can work on so I get decent variety. Leveling up skills after they reach about level 10 starts to be a bit of a grind but I intend to get most of my skills to 20 or higher before I would even think of taking any sort of extended break. In summary, for about $25 you get an incredibly enjoyable game that has almost no major bugs and still has content on the way. Please give it a try if you are on the fence...the demo gives you a good taste of what follows and I am just blown away by how much this dev has packed into this game. I can't understand why this game isn't more popular, its really fantastic. *Original review* I figured I have finally played enough to give a somewhat effective review of this game that I stumbled on to while looking for something completely different. This game is awesome, and the only thing I regret about it is not finding it years ago. This game deserves far more players. It has enough cozy activities and quests to entertain a more passive player while maintaining plenty of simple, but often challenging (depending on your difficulty setting) combat tasks, ranging from hunt quests to boss grinds for specific drops. It even incorporates the holiday festivals during different seasons well by providing both cosmetic/cozy rewards as well as solid weapon options. The collection logging system is awesome if you're a completionist, and there is a ton to collect in the game. I am consistently pleasantly surprised with the quality of this game. Force your popular content creator friends to play it, because this game would surely sell well if more people simply knew about it.1 found this helpful
This game has cool swords, magic and other stuff
combat is boring, most quests are fetch quests and the combat quests are no better. There is no fast travel and it takes forever to get anywhere even after you have a horse. Boring empty game overall.
not a bad little game. only had one lockup and that could have been my fault. this one on normal difficulty is relaxed play, try harder and ironman if you think that it is too easy. lots in it and i hope they are working on more content, not that it is lacking at the moment. worth the buy
